Seven countries are to prepare a joint resolution on the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) decision to reinstate the Russian delegation’s powers, – reports*Radio Poland’s Ukrainian service.
“We talked about this yesterday. We are all outraged by this situation. Representatives of the countries that have arrive for today’s celebrations told me that they wanted to prepare a joint resolution. It will be very difficult to do during these celebrations here, in Lublin. But we talked about holding a joint meeting as soon as possible,” – said Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Karczewski.
According to Karczewski, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Georgia will discuss joint steps soon.
What is more, the Polish delegation will not take part in a PACE meeting on culture issues early next week in protest to the Russian delegation’s return to the PACE.
