U.S. President Donald Trump has congratulated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the Servant of the People Party’s confident win at the latest snap parliamentary elections, –
Trump and Zelenskiy spoke by phone on July 25 to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Ukraine, including energy and economic cooperation.
During a telephone conversation, Trump congratulated Ukraine on the successful holding of the free and democratic parliamentary elections.
“He reaffirmed the U.S. invariable support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and America’s readiness to provide full assistance with the implementation of the large-scale reform program in our country,” – the statement said.
Donald Trump is convinced that the new Ukrainian government will be able to quickly improve the image of Ukraine, complete investigation of corruption cases, which inhibited the interaction between Ukraine and the USA.
Zelenskyi thanked Trump for the United States’ leading role in retaining and strengthening sanctions against Russia.
The Presidents agreed to discuss practical issues of Ukrainian-American cooperation during the Zelenskyi to the United States.
