"I think a lot of people are missing the point. A normal jet needs a lot of land for runways and a normal seaplane needs an extensive dock network.
This aircraft only needs a terminal for loading and unloading and a boat ramp. The benefit to small island nations is enormous as it frees up the land normally needed for runways. The ocean around the island is now the runway.
Have a look at Pacific Island nations to see how much space they waste right now. Some islands are half runway."
