Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for jumping into the middle of your conversations in this highly active forum.

I just need advise or leads from real local friends out there to live the city in just three days.

I will be visiting Kharkov next week for 3 days from Friday to Sunday. It will be my first ever visit in my life to Ukraine also. What I know so far is only "Metalist Kharkov" (my team Galatasaray played with them and got kicked out of the tournament a few years ago).

What shall I do in this valuable-limited 72 hours in your city? I'm interested in
- shopping
- Sight seeing and worth visiting historical places
- Yes, food - good food.
- Night life advises (I'm just a social drinker)

I will deeply appreciate all of your helps.

(I'm really sorry for writing this post in English. I only know up to 10 words in Russian)

I guess this place is little bit wrong to ask those questions. I recommend to ask those questions on reception of your hotel.
I guess, personnel of Kharkiv Palace could help you.

Bro, forget about shopping, comparing to Istanbul here is nothing to do.
Sight seeing... mm it is a very boring city and actually there is no historical places as well.
There are a lot of night clubs here, but be ready to spend around 200-300$ if you want to have a really good night.
With food no problem at all.

Very strange to see a shopper from Turkey in Kharkov :) Usually we go to Turkey for shopping. Please explain what you gonna buy here ?
Sight seeing and historical places - very few in Kharkov.
But food, wine, prostitutes - rather cheap and tasty. Though I prefer holdem poker as a night life.
Good luck.

Well, I will not buy luggages of clothes :)
To prove my friends and surroundings that I was in Kharkov once in a lifetime is enough. Hat - tshirt or mug etc is what I'm looking for.

Secondly, I'm an amateur photographer. So what so ever comes in my scene is a historical scene for me.

And thirdly: I'm on a tight budget. So prostitutes have to wait a little longer for my next visit.

Thank you BigBrother.
I will definitely ask help from the hotel personel.
I generally don't want to go where all the tourists go. That's why I dived into internet and found this forum to ask for help :)

And meanwhile, thanks to the google translate, I'm sensing the hospitality of you guys.

So far so good:пиво:

London the capital of the Great Britain

Well, did you try to find an english speaking guide with his own car ?
I guess it won't be too expensive and you will have enough freedom and time to see the whole city ?

Yes, I've already contacted a Turkish guy who claims to be a tour guide. And wants 30$ a day. I have no idea whether it is expensive or cheap.

The problem is, he will not be guiding me all the time. Just phone help. Or "be in your vicinity in 15 minutes when you need help"

It is fucking to expensive for nothing. All that stuff which he will give it to you he will find in a tripadvisor. Just try to find somebody thru facebook. There are a lot of students from Turkey who wil definetely help you even for free. Or try to find something at couchsurfing
